Data continues to drive vital elements of our society and the ability to capture, interpret, and leverage critical data-driven insights is a core differentiator for Altair. ​We recently sought to understand electric vehicle (EV) adoption rates in the U.S. Through a process of identifying publicly available data sources surrounding EV adoption and demographic data and applying Altair's data analytics solutions, we were able to identify levels of EV adoption nationwide at the county level. By applying machine learning to the limited historical data from 2019 - did we mention there was only data available for 15 states? - we were able to "fill in the blanks" and create complete historical data sets to "predict" the EV adoption level of counties in the remaining 35 states.
