Five Can’t-Miss Presentations from Future.Industry 2025

Another year, another successful installation of our flagship Future.Industry global event! Throughout this year’s presentations, panel discussions, technical demonstrations, and more, attendees heard some of the world’s brightest minds explore the technologies and trends shaping the world.

Want to revisit Future.Industry 2025’s highlights? Here are the five presentations you need to check out. Looking for more? No problem – you can watch every presentation on demand here.

1. “From Movies to Moving In: Just-in-Time Manufacturing, Powered by 3D Printing”

In architecture, fashion, product design, and additive manufacturing, Julia Koerner is a boundary breaker. As the founder of JK3D at JK Design GmbH and associate adjunct professor at UCLA Architecture and Urban Design, Koerner specializes in using novel 3D printing methods to create next-generation products. In her presentation, she discusses how simulation and 3D printing are changing the way we conceptualize, test, and design products in every industry.

Key takeaway: “For the Cactus Homes project, we used Altair’s simulation technology to test our affordable housing designs in many ways: to examine structural feasibility, printability, sustainability, and more. It helped us meet our requirements while creating a unique design inspired by natural forms.”

2. “New Mindset for the Era of Superintelligence”

In her AI-focused presentation, Sandy Carter, chief operating and revenue officer of Unstoppable Domains and author of multiple books, explores why embracing an AI-first mindset isn't about replacing anyone, it’s about creating the ultimate synthesis of human-AI capabilities. Learn why today's leaders need to stop thinking of AI as just another tool and instead start treating it as a true partner.

Key takeaway: “Every single brand will be impacted by artificial intelligence (AI). You’re going to have to learn different ways of representing your brand, which is always your most valuable asset. Though it seems impossible to keep up with how fast AI is advancing, my advice is simple: keep experimenting, network with experts, take courses, attend industry events, and join think tanks.”

3. “Accelerating Action: Panel on Empowering Women to Lead the Change”

In celebration of International Women’s Day, four influential women teamed up to discuss how they’re empowering change, advancing gender equality, and inspiring action within their organizations. BBC News correspondent Samantha Simmonds moderated the discussion, which featured Schnitger Corporation’s Monica Schnitger, L&T Technology Services’ Harita Vinnakota, and Altair’s Blinera Shala.

Key takeaway: “Half of humanity is women, so to me gender equality is a no-brainer. Obviously I want to be pragmatic and to celebrate the steps we’ve taken so far. But I am also impatient – I want action today, because that is ultimately how equality is achieved, especially in traditionally male-dominated industries like technology.” - Harita Vinnakota, L&T Technology Services

4. “Engineering 2030: How AI Will Reshape Teams, Tools, and Innovation”

As AI evolves, are engineers, designers, and organizations ready to embrace the changes it’ll bring? This was the topic of panel discussion featuring five AI experts: Altair’s Fatma Kocer, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure’s Viji Krishnamurthy, Ford’s Melzak Marques da Silva, Bits to Atoms’ Duann Scott, and APEX Consulting’s Jousef Murad. Together, the group explored role of AI in shaping the future of product development and how individuals and teams can build the skills, strategies, and mindsets needed to stay ahead in an AI-powered world.

Key takeaway: “AI’s impact is going to be pervasive. It’s not going to be one department or one organization – it’s going to be across domains. We’re already seeing AI use in customer experience, supply chain management, manufacturing, finance, and beyond. Everyone should be exploring where AI can impact their work and drive ROI, whether it’s at the task level or at the workflow level.” - Viji Krishnamurthy, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

5. “Sustainable Computing for HPC and AI: Navigating the Future of High-Performance and AI Workloads”

High-performance computing (HPC) is what makes AI tick. AI demand skyrockets, the world will need more HPC – and more energy to power it. What impact will that have an carbon emissions and sustainability? In this panel discussion, HPC experts from Altair, HPCWire, NVIDIA, AMD, and Microsoft talk about the massive increases in use of HPC and AI and how organizations can maximize HPC and cloud performance while minimizing energy use and carbon footprint. Join Bill Nitzberg, Douglas Eadline, Chris Porter, Rick Knoechel, and Kanchan Mehrohtra as they shed light on HPC and AI sustainability.

Key takeaway: “The future of compute won’t just be about scaling power. It will be about creating compute that is greener and more responsible. Sustainability is going to be a key design principle within the next decade – a much more prominent focus than it currently is – driven by regulatory and competitive pressures.” – Kanchan Mehrohtra, Microsoft

Bonus: “Agentic AI: The Next Evolution in Enterprise Automation”

And as a special bonus, check out this presentation from Forrester senior analyst Rowan Curran on AI agents. Curran explores the foundations of agentic AI, its implications for businesses, and the challenges and opportunities it presents. From enhancing efficiency to reshaping human-AI collaboration, he provides key insights into how organizations can harness agentic AI to drive innovation.

Key takeaway: “Agentic AI systems allow you to deliver much deeper information to all sorts of users. They also enable automation and support key decisions and actions within broad workflows. And this is still a space and technology that is developing; things continue to change quickly, even over a span of, say, six months.”
