Simulation Edition
Recommended for commercial usage
Simulation edition features include:
- Model creation and simulation using block diagrams, state charts, and user C code
- Analyze Blockset, Optimization Blockset, Open Vision Blockset, Neural Networks, Open Platform Communications (OPC), Controller Area Networks (CAN), Data Aquisition, FMU Co-simulation, JSON and MQTT support
- Comm Add-on: Add-on for modeling and simulating physical layer communicaiton systems, including encoders, modulation, channel fading, multi-path, and more

Professional Edition
Recommended for commercial usage
All features of Simulation edition are included, plus:
- Automatic code generation of ANSI C from diagrams for over 1,000 microcontroller targets including TI, STMicro, Arduino, and Raspberry Pi
- Hotlink data communication between host and target for SIL, PIL, HIL, and other prototyping tasks
- Digital Power Designer Add-on: Add-on for designing and developing digital power supplies and power conversion equipment
