Katherine Sizov is the CEO and co-founder of Strella Biotech. Sizov received a degree in molecular biology from the University of Pennsylvania in 2019. When she read that 40% of food is wasted before it’s consumed, she set out to learn more about the food chain and eventually formed Strella. To date, Strella has monitored over 2 billion apples and pears and has prevented 20 million pounds of food from going to waste.
