Altair to Present Simulation-Driven Design for Modern Manufacturing at formnext in Frankfurt
Altair and Co-Exhibitors APWORKS, M&H CNC Technik, and RSC Engineering to present highlights of Simulation-Driven Design processes with Altair Inspire™ platform for modern manufacturing methods
Altair (Nasdaq: ALTR) will present simulation-driven design processes for modern manufacturing methods and its Altair Inspire platform at formnext2018 in Frankfurt from November 13-16. formnext is the international exhibition and conference on additive manufacturing and the next generation of intelligent industrial production. Aligning with formnext's motto of "Turning your Ideas into Reality" Altair will present, jointly with co-exhibitors APWORKS, M&H, and RSC, how simulation-driven design, Altair Inspire and modern manufacturing methods can be leveraged to develop innovative and efficient products.
"Altair’s formnext presence, with our technical collaborators, will address how to successfully create economic, innovative, and efficient products. With the Altair Inspire platform our customers can identify system requirements, create structural innovation, and assure manufacturability within a simulation-driven design process," said Mirko Bromberger, Director Marketing Strategy at Altair. "We are very pleased to see that today almost all large AM technology providers are working with Altair Inspire or Altair HyperWorks, which have become the industry standards when it comes to topology optimization and generative design. It is Altair's goal to make performance and cost saving potentials accessible in the early stages of the decision-making process which will be demonstrated with several exhibition pieces at our booth and throughout the entire show."
Highlights will include several exhibition pieces engineered with Altair solutions, such as the Sogeclair optimdoor, a hybrid-lattice hip implant - a joint project by Altair and EOS, Stephan Henrich's Bushbot Chair, an optimized and redesigned packaging line component by elmec3D, and the exhibition pieces of co-exhibitors M&H and RSC; a 3D printed support arm (M&H), optimized with Altair Inspire, as well as an optimized foot rest and the housing of an e-drive (RSC). Especially noteworthy is Altair’s contribution to the demonstration of the comprehensive Additive Manufacturing process chain that is presented at the booth of VDMA. Altair contributed with the simulation-driven design of the component that will be showcased.
APWORKS’ Industrialization Alley features several series production examples of Additive Manufacturing. In addition APWORKS will present product applications as well as AMXpert, an online ordering platform for metal 3D printed parts, supporting the development and manufacturing of 3D printed parts for serial production.
The Altair booth will feature a dedicated demo theater illustrating the creative application of simulation technologies for various manufacturing methods, including product demos of Altair Inspire and SIMSOLID. Additional products designed, simulated, and optimized with Altair solutions can also be found at the booths of VDMA and Purmundus.
