Accelerating Product Design and Testing for Automotive Power Electronics

The design for automotive powertrain components is a comprehensive and sometimes iterative process. There always exists a gap between simulation and testing results. In this presentation, we will share perspectives of how we utilize Altair PSIM to enhance the design and testing process based on an onboard charger example. PSIM features accelerate the process such as component selection and power loss estimation, PCB layout design, soft switching verification using switch Level-2 model, and controller code verification, etc.
