Adoption of Altair SimSolid in Early Phase Design

Analysing products in the early design phase is often a challenge. We relied on specialist finite element analysts to help steer the design and perform final validation analysis; relying on these analysts was regularly a bottleneck. Using SimSolid allows us to remove this bottleneck by having our designers perform simulation on multiple concepts, quickly, to drive the design and optimisation. It also provides a platform to develop our engineers in simulation techniques. I’ll discuss how we initially adopted SimSolid with pilot trials and how it is now being rolled out to the wider business.
