Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (Hero), a leading Indian multinational motorcycle and scooter manufacturer based in Delhi sought to accelerate its product development cycle by integrating artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning into its finite element analysis (FEA) processes. In its first AI-driven project—optimizing a motorcycle handlebar design—Hero leveraged the geometric deep learning solution, Altair® PhysicsAI™, to train an AI model using historical data and predict design performance. The AI-generated predictions showed less than 3% variation from traditional FEA results, demonstrating that PhysicsAI provided highly accurate simulation results in a fraction of the time required by conventional methods.
