Airplane Antenna Simulations Including Creeping Waves

This white paper shows, for practical examples, that Altair Feko’s asymptotic method Faceted Uniform Theory of Diffraction, which includes all relevant electromagnetic phenomena including creeping waves, produces accurate results. The inclusion of creeping waves is important to calculate antenna far fields in the shadow region of the fuselage, and coupling between antennas on opposite sides of the fuselage.
