Walter P Moore designs several complex structures and long span roofs which often involve connecting several elements framing into a node with odd geometry. These connections can be difficult to design using simplified code equations. Walter P Moore often utilizes FEM modeling to analyze and design such connections which can be time consuming. In this presentation we will describe how we are able to leverage Altair tools such as HyperMesh and SimSolid to simplify our analysis approach.
