But to really help designers, engineers, or plant managers to deliver ever demanding optimized solutions, a comprehensive Digital Twin sitting on top of simulation, data, AI, HPC, manufacturing and communication technologies is needed.

Furthermore, it needs to be inscribed in emerging Digital Threads to guarantee a coherent data and information flow across the enterprise.
