A structural linear stress analysis of a loaded grillage using a range of connections and contact conditions to verify the structural integrity under multiple load cases. The grillage provides structural support for a 75 Tonne WLL drum winch and two overboard sheaves plus ancillary equipment to be used in an offshore lifting application. The analysis is performed using a winch line tension load of 33Te and incorporates the reaction forces, generated by the winch and overboard sheaves, transmitted to the grillage via bolted connections.
