Navigating the Future

Andrea Mannarino, Team Lead AI with American Magic, Challenger to the 37th America's Cup, delivered a presentation on the latest developments in data-driven approaches to yacht design and performance evaluations. Mannarino discussed the partnership between American Magic and Altair, as well as the state-of-the-art computational fluid dynamics workflows that were used to optimize design and performance.

In the presentation, Mannarino shared insights into how American Magic used AI and data-driven approaches to gain a competitive edge in yacht racing. He showcased how Altair's software solutions were used to automate and accelerate the design process with machine learning, and how data visualization tools were used to gain insights into yacht performance. Additionally, Mannarino highlighted the potential impact of these technologies on the future of the yacht racing industry.
