Our Five Years of Fishing: How we Introduced Data Science & Analytics as a General Elective Course

“Pangingisda” is a term used to describe his approach to teaching Introduction to Data Science and Analytics (IDSA), which is sometimes mistaken for ISDA. In Filipino,”isda” means “fish,” and “pangingisda” translates to “fishing,” a fitting metaphor for the course’s goal of “fishing” students from various disciplines and drawing them into the applications of Data Science and Analytics in their respective fields of study.
