There are many challenges in predicting cooling flow needs for borescope thermal imagers in furnaces, risking overheating and delays. Traditional CFD modeling is complex and time-consuming. To solve this, AMETEK Inc., teamed up with Altair to develop an AI-powered predictive workflow using romAI. After creating a validated CFD model and extensive simulation data, romAI was trained to quickly forecast thermocouple temperatures. The result is a user-friendly system that provides instant, accurate predictions within 10%, accessible via FlowPro v1.0. This streamlined approach eliminated the need for specialized CFD expertise, enabling engineers to manage installations more efficiently. The impact includes faster planning, lower costs, enhanced safety, and improved operational decision-making.
