London based Andiamo is causing a revolution in the children’s orthotics industry. Digitally scanning provides highly accurate body models, without the distress caused from plaster moulds. Andiamo use Altair’s simulation technologies to design the orthosis while designing around potential bruising and discomfort, before 3D printing the device. The result is better fitting orthoses in a fraction of the time of the traditional handmade method.
