We have used to see slender composite structures in recreation; bicycle components, golf club shafts, fishing rods and sailing yachts. For decades, composite rotor blades have been the state of practice in renewable energy and helicopters. More recent applications are found in automotive, construction and air mobility, for example. VABS software by AnalySwift provides unique technology for composite beam design, analysis and optimization and the project has been continuously funded by the US Army since 1988. AnalySwift joined the APA-program couple years ago and now the interoperability between VABS and Altair HW2022.1 has reached the point we’re proud of to represent.
