Altair recently announced a three-year original equipment manufacturer (OEM) agreement with Cray Inc. naming PBS Professional^® as now Cray’s preferred workload manager and job scheduler.

Customers can already access PBS Professional through Cray under the terms of the agreement, which allows Cray to bundle PBS Professional^® units with new systems shipped anywhere in the world.

Cray builds the world’s most advanced HPC systems and offers a comprehensive portfolio of supercomputers, storage, and analytics solutions that deliver unrivaled sustained performance on a wide range of challenging applications.

PBS Professional enables engineers in HPC environments to improve productivity, optimize resource utilization and efficiency, and simplify the process of workload management.

Together Cray and Altair operate some of the largest supercomputers in existence, including many systems in the weather and aerospace industries, and with the new OEM agreement the companies should garner even more joint customers.
