The work developed introduces a new product development cycle and applies this new concept to a pneumatic suspension bracket. The new workflow includes the use of meshless technology in the concept definition phase of the design and the use of the finite element method to validate the final version of the design. The workflow was expanded to include the usage of test data to define realistic load cases to correctly dimension the component to accommodate the project criteria. In this study the commercial software Altair SimSolid and Altair OptiStruct were used to evaluate the proposed design structural performance in the design proposals and the test data used to define the model’s boundary conditions were obtained combining roads that represent the Suspensys accelerated durability procedure.
