Introduction to Continuum Analysis in EDEM Analyst

Continuum Analysis was introduced to EDEM 2022.1, adding exciting new capabilities to the EDEM Analyst for extracting and visualizing data to better drive engineering decision making. This introduction gives an overview of the workflow and theory behind these methods and looks at a number of demonstration examples applying temporal and spatial averaging to a range of particle behaviors and industrial applications. Using Continuum Analysis, engineers can gain insight into a host of performance metrics including particle velocity, solid fraction, momentum density, and much more.
